BugBroth
Client: BugBroth (fictive case)
Brief: Create a product design that is appealing to the Nordic market, while highlighting the benefits of insect protein.
In a world constantly seeking more sustainable food options, "BugBroth" noodles made with insect protein emerges as nutritional powerhouse with low environmental impact. However, they have one huge challenge. The Western consumers are reluctant to try it. Why? Because WE EAT WITH OUR EYES. And let’s be honest. Insects look disgusting. So how do we make "BugBroth" a success, when it is made with a product that is not successful... yet?
By making insects more than a gimmick, rebranding them as the valuable protein source they truly are, while informing the consumers of their dietary choices. The strategy involves making the noodles accessible at venues where affordability is key, such as music festivals, offering a healthier and more affordable option compared to greasy burgers. Additionally, we target busy workplaces, providing a convenient and viable meal for those late nights at the office. The product design blends Asian and Nordic aesthetics with a futuristic theme, embodying "BugBroth's" commitment to tradition, innovation, and sustainability.
